Hello, friends!
It has been quite a while since we went galavanting through Europe. A lot has changed since 2011; I now call New York home, and Josh just got his masters from FSU.
So why am I posting here?
While we were in Europe, we saw a ton of incredible things that we thought we'd never get in The States. We then realized we hadn't actually seen most of The States (although, I've now seen more than half), and decided that our next journey would be a road trip through our own backyard. We only have ten days free, but we are going for it!
It's time for another excellent adventure!
I am currently at the beginning of a 22 hour bus ride (so it's not quite "excellent" yet), headed to New Orleans, where I will meet up with Josh. After a few hundred beignets and perhaps a visit to a witchdoctor, we will head down to Austin for some authentic tex-mex and...uhh...I don't know what there is to do in Austin, but we'll definitely keep it weird.
It's a short trip, but necessary. Also, awesomeness doesn't own a watch, so ten days or two months, it's still going to be epic. I probably won't write much, which is why I'm posting this here and not creating a new blog; but we may vlog! (For the record, I love the word "vlog." It sounds like something out of Spaceballs.)
I've got my hoodiepillow (thanks, Sharktank!) and I dusted off the old travel backpack that's been sitting in a closet since Europe. I am pumped! ....Well, I'll be pumped tomorrow at 7am when I get there. Sitting on a bus in Saturday morning traffic (because apparently that's a thing), isn't quite the same as getting on a plane; but I have ALL the snacks and a handle of apple juice (because I'm eight years old), so I think I'll be just fine.
Send recommendations our way, and if you are close, come hang out!
